How much is a ticket?
A one-way journey from Vienna city centre to Vienna Airport or from Vienna Airport to Vienna city centre is available for € 8.- for adults. The return journey for € 13.-.
Vienna Airport Lines offers a wide range of discounts, including for holders of a Vorteilscard or Österreichcard, persons travelling with an AUA boarding pass, and for children. For full details, please see Tickets and Prices.

What ticket discounts do you offer?
Children aged between 6 and 14, people with an Austrian disability pass stating they have a disability greater than 70%, holders of an ÖBB Österreichcard/ Vorteilscard Senior, holders of an ÖBB Österreichcard/ Vorteilscard Family (if they are travelling together with one child), and ÖBB employees can travel half-price (€ 4.- for a one-way journey or € 8.- return).
Cooperation partners such as Austrian Airlines, PeoplesViennaLine, holders of a "Wien Card", and holders of an ÖBB Vorteilscard 66 and Österreichcard/ Vorteilscard Classic or Youth benefit from a discounted price (€ 7.- for a one-way journey or € 12.- for a return journey). Holders of an Österreichcard or of a Vorteilscard Family card who are travelling without children also qualify for this discounted ticket price.
Children up to 6 years of age travelling with an accompanying person can use our service free of charge.

Do I need identification to qualify for a discount?
Yes. You will need to have the appropriate entitlement card, or photo ID confirming your age, depending on the discount you wish to claim.

Do I have to bring my online ticket with me in printed form?
No. The Aztec-code of your ticket can be read straight off the screen of your mobile device (smartphone or tablet).

Can I reserve a seat?
It’s not possible to reserve a seat with Vienna Airport Lines. As a rule, sufficient seating capacity will be available.

Can I transfer my ticket to another person?
A transfer is not possible in the case of online tickets. This is because the name on the ticket has to be the same as the name of the person travelling. It is not possible to change the name.
Tickets bought at ticket machines, however, can be transferred to third parties within the period of validity.

Where can I book a ticket?
You can buy tickets for one-way or return journeys as followed:
- at viennaairportlines.at
- using the Vienna Airport Lines ticket machines at Vienna Airport or Vienna Westbahnhof
- in person from the driver on your Vienna Airport Lines bus, or
- from our sales partners (e.g. Vienna Tourist Info at Vienna Airport, Vienna Sightseeing Tours, Wiener Linien Online/App)
Season tickets can be bought directly from our drivers or by using Vienna Airport Lines ticket machines.

How long is my ticket valid for?
- Online tickets of Vienna Airport Lines are valid for the day of travel selected and the following day.
- Tickets for a one-way journey bought on the bus are only valid for a journey taken immediately.
- Tickets for one-way journeys bought at ticket machines are valid for two days from the time you buy them.
- If you have a return ticket, you can make your return journey anything up to 30 days after you buy the ticket.
- Please note tickets bought via sales partners may be subject to other validity conditions. Our sales partners will be happy to explain these to you in each individual case.

What payment options are available to me?
If you buy a ticket online, we offer the option of paying by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, American Express Card). For online payments you can also use eps-transfer (for Austrian bank accounts) or giropay (for German bank accounts).
If you purchase a ticket on the bus itself or at the ticket machines, cash, credit card and cashpoint card payments are accepted.

Why do I have to enter a 3D Secure when making an online payment?
The 3D Secure procedure authenticates the holder of the credit card by requiring them to enter an additional password, helping to make your credit card payment on the internet even safer. Depending on the credit card you use, this security procedure will be called "Verified by Visa" or "Mastercard SecureCode".

How do I get a 3D Secure Password?
If you haven’t registered for the 3D Secure procedure yet, then a dialogue window from your credit card provider will appear enabling you to do so the first time. Please note some banks will send your registration code by post. If you have any questions regarding the 3D Secure procedure, or you don’t yet know your password, please contact your credit card provider directly.

What name should I enter when making an online booking?
The name on the ticket must be the same as the name of the person travelling (i.e. the person actually making the journey).
